Character History: Janet is a Good Place Janet stolen by Michael from the Janet warehouse to help with his experimental Bad Place, which she has done. She goes on being her Janet self until Chidi accidentally resets her and when she comes back has to redownload everything she remembered. She is a little past the cactus phase but not yet at 100% operational capacity

Character Motivation: At her canon point, providing help and service to the people of the Good Place and Michael in order to give them a happy afterlife.
Personality: Give a good, solid description of your characters personality. This will be used to determine if the class selected for your character is correct. 200-250 words at least.
Janet would be the first to remind you that she is not a person and so does not technically have a personality. What she does have is already programmed into her; that is to say, she is cheerful and upbeat, capable of emulating human emotions (poorly) without feeling them herself-- and ever helpful to the humans in her charge. She will do whatever she can (so long as it doesn't go against her protocol) to make the lives of the people in the Good Place easier and better.
Her personality is also linked to her architect in some ways, though the interpretation is open to her. For example, Michael can suggest Janet be more friendly and she slides into overtly sexual. He can suggest she back off and she becomes bitter and surly. In other words, while she follows orders, unless they are very precise, she interprets it how she best sees fit.
A bulk of her personality, at least in current canon point, lies in potential. Though she shouldn't be, she is capable of learning nuanced emotion and genuine feeling about others. She also develops a sense of self and what she wants as opposed to what Michael wants. Most of this ties in with the way she fell in love with and cared for Jason. There was nothing in her protocol forbidding her from marrying him, but she did. She ran away to the Medium Place with him and Eleanor. She even created a sexy rebound Derek for herself which was purely for herself and to regulate her own developing emotions. She has the potential and capacity to change and evolve. Though Janet will never become human, because she isn't human, she is and has been changing into a fully realized being.
